Brass & Barrel was designed for a family whose home needed to support connection, independence, and hospitality in equal measure. Nestled within the scenic landscape and the base of The Flation mountains in South Boulder, Colorado. The design embraces expansive views, natural light, and a timeless aesthetic that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury.
At the heart of the home is a statement kitchen where rich walnut cabinetry, warm brass detailing, and striking natural stone come together to create a space that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The custom island serves as a central gathering place, framed by dramatic architectural millwork, layered lighting, and thoughtfully curated finishes. Expansive windows capture mountain vistas and afternoon sunsets, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the experience. Adjacent to the kitchen, a dedicated wine room and entertaining bar reinforce the home's focus on hospitality and celebration.
Behind the scenes, a fully equipped back kitchen provides the functionality that makes the home truly exceptional. Designed to support the family's unique needs, this secondary workspace incorporates adaptive features that promote accessibility and independence while offering additional storage, preparation, cooking, and cleanup capacity. Hidden from the main entertaining areas, the back kitchen allows large gatherings to flow effortlessly while maintaining the beauty and organization of the primary kitchen.
